i revisited my digital pinhole camera project, this time armed with better material for the pinhole and a nikon d200 instead of the canon 10d.
i ordered some .002 in brass shim stock from McMaster-Carr, purveyors of everything.
basically, you take a body cap, make a huge hole in it and then cover that with a piece of brass shim containing a pinhole.
the resulting images have an interestingly eerie quality to them.

i really like wide-angle shots; unfortunately body and mirror
do not allow to place the pinhole closer to the sensor.
a solution could be to buy a cheap(er) fixfocus camera
and to remove the lens…
