i just ran a quick benchmark on the new server 🙂
i fed 52 images to a script i use to resize, crop and rotate images for phpslideshow.
the old server took 3min 55.819s
the new server completed the task in 1min 13.952s

I am also curious about a script for re-sizing images. Right now I use Windows XP power tool to resize all my main images but for re-sizing thumbnails it doesn’t work too good.

script for resizing images? Any chance you could share this with me? I’ve had to manually resize images with photoshop, time consuming, but doable. How are things? How’s the bathroom coming along?
